Technology Autobiography

Technology didn’t affect my life very much until I was about ten.  It never seemed like something that had to be a part of my life.  Although much of what was around me revolved around technology.  Almost everything in the city is integrated with electronics.  I still had no real idea how to use it.  I didn’t use the computer all that much outside of school.  Then, when I was twelve, I received my own laptop.  I started to use it more and more.  First starting with YouTube, I would watch an increasing number of hours on the Internet.  Then I branched out to other sites.  Eventually, I was spending most of my waking hours on the web.

It wasn’t until high school, that I discovered the creation part of technology.  I had always liked the product of animating (especially 2d, I kind of hate 3d), but this was the first time seeing it behind the scenes.  I quickly discovered in my first year of Animation that it is a pain-staking process.  I learned to bear through it in order to get to the product.  That is the best part.  After hours of work, you get something permanent that you can be proud of and show to others and amaze them.

In the future, I’d like to continue using Flash.  Nothing stuck with me as much as Flash.  I also think animations made with it look the best.  3d animation doesn’t look all that great unless it is super high budget.
